CAT HADLEY

CAT HADLEY, a University of Michigan graduate, is the director of the Great Economy Project. In 2021, she was recognized as a Truman Scholar and received the Rosalie Ginsberg Dedicated Community Service Award. The following year, she earned the MLK Spirit Award and the William Jennings Bryan Leadership award, the highest honor for political science seniors at the University of Michigan.

Notably, she played a pivotal role in passing SB 1006, which removed the felony ban for SNAP in Michigan and expanded food stamp accessibility in Michigan during the start of the pandemic through her work with Hungry For Justice MI.

In 2022, Catherine was elected to the Ann Arbor Library Board and chosen as co-chair of the Ann Arbor Democrats. She was a 2023 New Leadership Council fellow for Detroit, Michigan. In 2024, Catherine founded Sift House, a platform dedicated to amplifying political art. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to community service and political engagement.
